Lean Site Leader, Tulsa
Candidate must be a self starter, excellent communicator, facilitator and possess strong analytical abilities. A strong sense of urgency, the ability to problem solve, and maintain a high energy level is a must. Attention to detail and the ability to follow up to stated deadlines are critical. Flexible work hours along with some travel required. Must be comfortable using team approach to problem solving. Must be motivated with the ability to work independently and/or in a cross-functional global work team environment.
Individual will be responsible for the implementation of the Carlisle Operating System. This person will lead the organization transformation to Lean Manufacturing by utilizing lean manufacturing tools and by consistent application of team based approaches.
Individual is required to have participated in continuous improvement activities and have demonstrated the ability to get teams and individuals to take action without direct authority over them.
Work with management team to identify & lead continuous improvement projects utilizing lean & six sigma principles that drive operational excellence & improve profitability
Ensure teams have needed resources, access to sponsors, and help from outside the team
Through execution of lean initiatives drive performance excellence and embrace the role of a change agent for the company
Assist teams to develop measures, quantify results, determine actions and track progress through continuous improvement, influence behaviors and culture through introduction and development of information boards, visual indicators, hour-by-hour tracking, suggestion systems, or other appropriate tools or techniques
Participate in Lean Manufacturing networks, training, and roundtables with other COS Champions within CBF
Promote, educate and instill a culture of waste identification and elimination throughout the manufacturing operation by utilizing Lean Manufacturing concepts and the principles of Kaizen (continuous improvement).
Ensure teams are properly recognized and that all improvements are reported and recorded; communicating results to all employees on a frequent basis
Develop post Kaizen audit methods to confirm improvements are being sustained and action plans if they are not; results to be reported to Corporate Executive COS Champion on a monthly basis.
